  • Afternoon Nursery 12:15pm - 3:15pm

We have flexible starting and collection times to help parents who have children attending different primary or secondary schools. This flexibility helps parents and children to arrive and leave in a calm atmosphere; they also have the time and opportunity to talk to the staff if any information is needed to be shared.

School Organisation

  • Children are offered a place in the Blue room, Red room, Green room or Yellow room.
  • Children have free flow opportunities throughout the session and are encouraged to be independent and follow their own interest. Adults ensure that children have the time and freedom to become deeply involved in their play. This gives the child an opportunity to develop their characteristics of effective learning.
  • In the Blue room children can explore role play area where they can act out their experiences, build using mathematical thinking or make snacks by understanding the importance of health and self-care.
  • In the Red room children have opportunities to explore paintings, collage, modelling and transient art. Children will have opportunities to explore concepts and use their skills to create art.
  • In the Green room children have opportunities to develop their curiosity using science and investigation while taking advantage of the 30 hour provision. Children are encouraged to explore and show their interest in discovering new things and concepts.
  • The children in the Yellow room have opportunities to develop their personal, social and emotional well-being. They also have opportunities  to develop their communication and language skills by having time to play and explore uninterrupted.

Please bring your child into the base classroom at the start of the session to say "Hello", teach your child to register with their  name card, put the name badge on and put their photo on a milk. This base is where you will need to collect your child at the end of the session.

The staff in each Team will be collectively responsible for your child. We will all get to know your child.
