I am a Councillor and have been part of the school since 1984, holding both Chair and Vice Chair. My son and grandson both attended and enjoyed a wonderful start in their education. As part of a parents' action group, I stopped the then Council from closing and pulling down the school. I am fully committed to the education of children from all groups in our community and their family involvement.

I have been the Head Teacher of the school and children's centre since September 2017 and provide information to the Governors about strategic direction and effectiveness. Although I was born and raised in another part of the country, I have spent the whole of my teaching career in Newham.
I fell in love with the vibrancy of the borough during my teaching practice through the Urban Learning Foundation as a student and have remained ever since. I believe the child is at the heart of everything we do.
