I have been part of our school since 1984, holding chair and vice chair, my son and grandson have both attended and enjoyed a wonderful start in education.
As part of a parents action group, stopped the then Council from closing and pulling down the school.
I am fully committed to education of children from all groups of community and there family involvement.
Children are our future and Edith Kerrison gives the best and I am pleased to be part of that.

Bozena began her longstanding relationship with the nursery as a parent of three boys. She then became a teacher at the nursery and the special educational needs and inclusion lead. Bozena played a major role in gaining the Inclusion Quality Mark and flagship status for the school. She has now gone on to be the head of an autistic unit in a secondary school. To the role of co-opted governor she brings her expertise in the teaching and learning, achievement and progress of children with SEND as well as all children.

I have been the Head Teacher of the school and children's centre since September 2017 and provide information to the Governors about strategic direction and effectiveness. Although I was born and raised in another part of the country, I have spent the whole of my teaching career in Newham.
I fell in love with the vibrancy of the borough during my teaching practice through the Urban Learning Foundation as a student and have remained ever since. I believe the child is at the heart of everything we do.
Ms Katarina Krammerova

I am a co-opted member of the governing body and I have been living in Newham since 2012 (moved to UK in 2005). I first met the amazing staff of Edith Kerrison Nursery and Children Centre when me and my daughter started visiting the Children Centre when she was just a baby and later attended the Nursery. I cannot praise enough how every staff member has helped me through the years with understanding about my child development, her needs and always listened to my concerns and tried to give me their best advice.
My background is in finance and I would like to help every child achieve their full potential, with strong partnerships between parents, children and school. I am proud to be part of this great team and will continue to contribute as much as I can.

Teaching was all I wanted to do and all I've known. I went straight into my PGCE after completing my mathematics degree. I have been a teacher for 7 years until I became a mum of two - both of whom attend Edith Kerrison nursery school. My love for children and passion for mathematics drove me to pursue teaching mathematics at secondary level. I was born in Newham and have lived in newham my entire life. I strongly believe that early educational settings are an amazing place to provide an environment for young minds to explore, enjoy, learn and grow. I hope to give back to this wonderful nursery and be supportive in my role.

Raised in a working-class background, I stand as the only graduate among six siblings, and my journey has been one of challenging conventional expectations. For 36 years, I've proudly called Newham my home, a place that has shaped my perspective, though you might not believe my age from my appearance!
My honors degree in Theology/Religion & Politics, has given me a profound understanding of the forces driving our society, with a keen awareness that our children are the pillars of the future in how it's shaped. My career spans various sectors, including charities, employment, and regeneration, most recently a focus on socio-economic programs. I firmly believe in the power of early intervention, recognising that primary socialisation plays a pivotal role in nurturing brilliant minds and successful adults who contribute to society's growth. As a mother to an autistic child, I champion a personalised, inclusive approach to education, where equality of opportunities are not just accessible but actively encouraged. Together, let's build a learning environment where all individuals can thrive.
I'm always eager for engaging conversations, so if you happen to catch me during drop-off or pick-up, do say hello. I would love to hear your thoughts on your child's school life. If I had a door, it would be wide open to welcome you!

I have been the Assistant Headteacher of the nursery since September 2023. My past roles have included working as a SENCo, Phonics Lead, teaching in Nursery and across Primary School for over 20 years in Newham.
My current role as Assistant Headteacher is to further develop the Early Years Curriculum and staff expertise through a programme of professional development that is responsive to the needs and interests of the children, parents and staff. I strongly believe that effective teaching and learning together with a rich, purposeful, diverse curriculum ensures that learners are interested in their learning and work well independently and with peers to reach their full potential.
I am very excited to be here and look forward to collaborating with the Edith Kerrison community.
