When can my child start nursery?
Two year old place
Children generally are offered a place to start the term after they turn two years old. Two year olds are asked to attend some children's centre sessions and are offered a home visit. If we do not have a free place, you may keep your child's name on our waiting list. You can also register your child with other settings and providers.
Three year old place
Children generally are offered a place to start the term after they turn three years old. Prior to a starting date, children are required to attend pre- school play sessions with their parent. During these pre-school sessions parents attend a Head Teacher's meeting. All parents must attend at least one of these sessions before a starting date is offered. It provides essential information about the school and forms the basis of partnership working.
Information about options for childcare and education are set out by Newham here:
https://www.newham.gov.uk/Pages/Category/Childcare.aspx
30 hour week offer
We offer 30 hour places for up to 18 eligible families. . Priority is given to children who have accepted a 15 hour place . The Department for Education sets out the criteria for who is eligible and can be seen in the document below.

Admissions to Primary School and a Reception Place
Admissions to a Primary School (Reception to Year 6)
The London Borough of Newham is the Admission Authority for primary schools and organises all primary admissions centrally. Application forms are available online. The Starting Primary School Booklet can be obtained on 020 8430 2000.
The nursery school helps parents understand the application process for a reception place by giving each parent the free Starting Primary School Booklet at meetings in the Autumn term. The application should be done by the parent online. Your local library can provide you with a computer. The booklet can also be viewed at http://www.newham.gov.uk. We also hold additional meetings to help parents new to the starting school process (possibly because it is their first born child), to help them understand the process and in particular finding out about the catchment school for their postcode. The process of applying for a reception place and the allocation of a school place is managed by the London Borough of Newham, not the schools. The process is set out in the links below
