Our History
Nursery School and Children's Centre
The nursery school was founded in 1930 by Edith Kerrison, who was the first woman to serve on the West Ham council. She was an advocate of welfare for women and children. In 2008 a children’s centre was built next to the nursery school to further extend support for local families with young children. A further extension was added to the Children's Centre in 2017 to increase our provision for two year olds.
There is a plaque commemorating Edith Kerrison in Stratford.
